The Mighty Moving Moving Process
You can begin your moving journey by calling us during business hours or by completing our quote request form, which will result in a phone call from one of our customer service representatives.
During the call, we’ll discuss your moving needs, including your current location, the destination you’re moving to, the types of services you need, and the types of belongings you need moved. Our customer service rep will devise a custom moving plan to suit your specific needs and provide a binding estimate for our services. At this point, the representative will start the process and add you to our moving schedule.
As your moving date approaches, you’ll want to start acquiring all of the packing supplies and equipment you’ll need, ranging from boxes, tape, picture cartons, and bubble wrap, to hand trucks, floor protectors, and moving blankets.
To make things easier, Mighty Moving offers a complete line of professional-grade moving supplies, so you don’t have to rummage through your garage, collecting old cardboard boxes and random rolls of tape.
Once you’ve gathered all of the packing materials and moving equipment you’ll need, you can begin packing up your belongings. Be sure to use plenty of cushioning material in the boxes, and try to pack items with other items from the same room – that’ll make the unpacking process more streamlined once you arrive at your new destination.
Of course, you can skip the entire packing process if you like and have our relocation professionals handle all of the packing duties for you. This will not only allow you to avoid the tedious packing process, but it will also help ensure that your belongings arrive at your new home in perfect condition, having been packed by experienced professionals.
With everything packed, take a few moments to make a list of all your items. You can set up a spreadsheet on your phone or computer to help keep everything organized, or you can simply jot down a list on a piece of paper.
You’ll also want to label all of your boxes with a marker at this time. Make sure that each box clearly states the basic items contained inside (for example, “clothing,” “books,” or “plates”), as well as the room or location where they’ll go in your new home.
Try to get a good night’s sleep the night before the team arrives – moving day is a big event! Our team will show up on time, so be sure that you’re ready. This means clearing a spot in the driveway or road in front of your home and making sure you’re ready to answer any question the movers will have.
Also, be sure that your pets are placed in a secure room. You don’t want them to slip out through an open door during the process.
From this point, you can just leave things to our professional movers! They’ll gather all of your belongings, load them in the truck, and start heading to your new house. Just be sure to do a final walk through before locking the door one last time.
Before you know it, you’ll be watching the Mighty Moving truck pull up to your new home. The team will start unloading the truck and setting up your furniture by placing each piece or box where you would like it to go.
